Mussels Steamed in White Wine and Garlic


Mussels Steamed in White Wine and Garlic


·         Olive oil 

·         2 crushed garlic clove 

·         1 kg fresh mussels scrubbed and beards removed 

·         100ml white wine 

·         1 tbsp fresh thyme chopped 



·         Place a large pan on a medium heat and add a splash of Olive oil.  Add the  crushed garlic and cook for 1 minute. 

·         Turn the heat to high and stir in the mussels and chopped thyme. 

·         Cover and for 5 minutes, or until the shells have opened. 

·         Get a nice big serving dish and transfer the mussels and juices, discarding any closed shells.  

·         Serve immediately
